Heartbleed Bug and Target Compromise Update...

Parish Credit Union (and Target) will not contact you by phone or email to inquire about your personal or account information. Always be cautious when giving out any information!

It is recommended that you change your online passwords, including your eBranch and EZ Card passwords.

Some additional advice from Credit Union Insight is to also be aware of:

1. Any emails from companies imploring you to "click here" to change your password or update your account information. Go directly to the company website to change your password to be sure the link isn't a scam.

2. Any phone call that promises to fix your problem but only if you give them passwords, account access or a credit card right now. If it makes you uncomfortable, don't do it!

3. Any text message from an unknown number. May be best to ignore it.

4. Any calls from weird numbers, especially if your cell phone number isn't widely known. Let them leave a message to be on the safe side.
